Maybe it's time to get a new Bus Pirate? It seems that my ancient version doesn't cut it anymore since I can't mount it in a SOB case...

...and that's why I love DP :)

I little bit of hot-melt glue in the corners is normally fine

There is a BP v4 on it's way to you in the 2lb box, blank pcb.

No worries... I rather see that it goes to a starving student than to me. Thanks anyways. :-)

Clear shrink tubes are quite unusual... What size did you use?

I bought a bunch of clear shrinks at my local electronic surplus store, they sell it something like $1.50 from 1meter ...
and this one is the largest they got, it is something like 42mm when it is flat (1 inch 5/8), i only used my clear for specials things since i got more inexpensive color ones for general stuff :o)

I never had static problem... (I think ) ... but I guess if you rub it enough on your head like a balloon it could do something ... i don't know :oP
