Since we're now going with multiple boxes, this brings it one step further. Though I didn't vote for the original split, I'm liking the idea of the split more and more.
Perhaps as sqkybeaver suggested:
- components
- kits, microcontrollers, pcbs
- mechanical (screws, motors, raw material (aluminum plates, boxes/enclosure, etc.), etc.)
Adding this:
- parts scavenger (dead electronics, unwanted electronics, etc.)
The only caveat for the "mechanical" box would be to keep things together with other items. For instance if someone sends a Bus Pirate in the "kits" box, and has an enclosure for it, the enclosure should be included with the Bus Pirate rather than in the "mechanical" box.
It'd be great too if the boxes don't all show up at the same time. So there needs to be some randomization to the order of the lists.
