No silkscreen?

I was going to ask why the silkscreen option is greyed out for my possible order... but at the moment the shop doesn't seem to work at all anyway so nevermind. Guess I have to order from elecrow or some other place.  :-(

Silk screen is generally included, right?

EDIT: Seems to be solved, I got to seedstudio when clicking shop before - and that link didn't work.
/store/pcbs loads fine.

Silk color option is greyed out, is there a way to activate it, I put some work on my silkscreen patterns, I don't want to skip them.

EDIT2: Not much action here and the contact form has an antispam field that you don't know what to fill in...
DirtyPCB:s also has no mentioning of silk screen - all images of PCB:s has it though - should I take a chance? It's less than half the price from my other vendor.

Do you have a silkscreen layer?  It should appear on the rendered image if you include it in your zip file.

There is no 'silkscreen' option, but there is a 'silk color' option.  It is greyed out as I think it can not be changed.  Probably with the fixed price you get white silkscreen for every colour, except white, then you probably get a black silkscreen.

I expect you can pay more and get more choice.

Yes, there's a rendered image, when does this appear?

EDIT:
Yes, I see a small image saying rendering when continuing the order.
So... I just used the ITEAD naming convention for the Gerber files, are there any recommendations for D.P.? I have looked in a few places but didn't find anything.

EDIT 2:
Found the Dirty PCB cam, should solve it.
Surprises me a bit that the outline is included in all layers basically but it says in the text it should only be in one of them. Guess it can't hurt.

Rendering is expected to take about how long?
Oshpark displays its rendering in about 20 seconds.

Sorry, I am just a customer.

Rendering takes a short time, but you have to refresh the page (or perform another operation like add to cart).

The Gerber file extensions can be found here:

Boards include silkscreen. Maybe it is the custom color that is disabled? We no longer mix custom color silkscreens and solder mask as it never turned out well. You can still choose the standard colors.

Honestly, I'd prefer you not order from us. This as all the hallmarks of an order from hell - newbie problems, impatience, flailing about. I foresee this going poorly and I'd prefer you pay that other vendor twice as much to deal with it. I asked the team to find your order and issue a refund. We don't profit from the PCBs and when orders go bad we loose a bunch of money, thank you for understanding.

Hello all.
I was recommended by a forum friend (making Commodore 64 peripherals) to try your service as he had been very pleased with his recent order.

I just meant to ask about some features that is unclear to me or that I didn't find and I don't want to mess my order up as it's my first time here, I'm sorry if I came through a bit harsh - I was dead focused on trying to get the order through. Yes I'm a newbie to this site - so it's better to ask before ordering right? It was kind of like jumping from EagleCAD to KiCAD and not finding the stuff you usually use where it usually is.

Don't know what "flailing" means, I may have been stressed and impatient, sorry about that. If you care to explain these "hallmarks of an order from hell" I'd be sure to avoid them in the future. I was trying to decide what service to use so I could order as it's x weeks of waiting time before they turn up - with a limited hobby budget.

Files should be fine, I had a prototype board made at work. There's nothing odd with the board, it's a PCB for a 70's videogame cartridge - I have CAD:ed perhaps four or five different versions in the last ten years, and have made maybe over 40 other CAD designs over the years, and then some at work for newbie customers.

I don't need any custom or odd colors, just wanted to make sure there is a silkscreen layer as I couldn't do anything with the displayed selection box. Then it wasn't clear how you'd like the Gerber-files to be named - I wasn't sure if an improper silkscreen layer name was the reason for the option to select it was greyed out.

Thanks ame, reloading the order page does reveal a rendered image of the board, a bit small in the image area but it's a nice well-looking icon of the board I had uploaded. Gerber-files render fine on other pages, so I'm not worried about that anymore as the missing silkscreen option has been explained.

If you want some feedback I have some:
The contact page has an antispam text box that has no question, can it be used?
After adding a board to cart there's an image saying Rendering, a button to reload image or some text that page needs to be reloaded to see the rendering would have been informative.
It would be nice to have the cam and dru files for EagleCAD on the store/pcb/-page or maybe a list of naming convention.

I'm sure it's all very clear and easy to use if having used dirtypcb:s before, as a new user it's not as easy when not easily finding the information and options that is usually there.

I haven't actually made an order and paid for it yet, I was just trying to get an estimate of the price. Any future order - if I'm even allowed to order - will be a simple matter of uploading, selecting and paying - now that I have all the details worked out.

So, sorry for "flailing", acting "newbie" and I hope you'll accept a future order, so I can afford to make 20 videogame cartridges instead of just 10.
