Routing through holes. August 16, 2016, 03:36:25 pm Sorry for yet another question.I want to put 6 regular plated-through holes (1mm diameter) along one edge of my board, centred on the edge line. Then I expect the router to cut along the edge line and slice half of each hole away. This will expose 6 tiny scallops along the edge. I can solder wires to the remains of the through-hole plating.Possible or not? To the fab shop it might look like an error, but maybe they don't care.Thank you. Re: Routing through holes. Reply #2 – September 02, 2016, 07:08:16 am That should not looks like and error to a factory. That's an absolutely standard feature, named HPH - Half Plated Holes, sometimes also PHH. Some factories do them, some don't. There are also factory-specific technological requirements. So it would be fine if DirtyPCBs clarifies this. Last Edit: January 01, 1970, 01:00:00 am by Guest
