Re: USB IR Toy 2 and Android SDK Reply #2 – July 04, 2013, 08:18:01 am It is possible. You need an OTG cable to connect the IRToy to the Android phone. On Android, the IRToy appear as an USB device (e.g. /dev/bus/usb...) and not a serial device (i.e. /dev/tty*). To talk to the IRToy, your Android application can use the FTDriver (http://https://github.com/ksksue/FTDriver) which provides read/write functions. Check out the example application at http://https://github.com/ksksue/Android-USB-Serial-Monitor-Lite too.Tried usb-serial-for-android (http://https://code.google.com/p/usb-serial-for-android) but does not seems support IRToy.Hope this helps.
