noise on floating channel pins?

So I just got my open bench logic sniffer board yesterday. At first it didn't seem to work, but after re-flashing the firmware to the lastest version it started working just great.

The only issue I've noticed is that any floating pins are showing garbage data.  For at test, I programmed my Arduino to generate a 5ms and 10ms signal.  I then connected channel 0 & 1 to those two output pins and the GND channel to the GND pin on the Arduino.  As a control, I connected channels 6 & 7 to GND on the Arduino as well and then sampled at 5kHz.

Is this normal?  All the videos I've seen of the open bench logic sniffer in action don't show any any noise on un-used/connected channels.  (see attached file)

It is normal on floating pins. You can ground the unused pins or just ignore it.
