Bus Pirate v4.0 received

I suppose it isn't terribly exciting to announce that I received my BPv4 hardware today. I assume that few people have this platform at the moment, so I thought it might be useful to have a thread where we can stay in touch with others who have the specific hardware. Actual development topics should probably continue in their own threads, so maybe this thread could just be for announcements.

My first project is planned to be using it to hack CAN bus messages in my car, but I don't know how much time I will have. Basically, the Bus Pirate with PIC24 and OTG wiring is an ideal platform for me to experiment with on many project ideas, so I'm not even sure how often I'll be using the Bus Pirate firmware or whether I might develop my own firmware. I'm sure I'll run out of time before I run out of ideas anyway.

P.S. The BPv4 actually arrived on Friday, but I was out hiking for the day and missed signing for the package. It was sent via Registered Mail, which actually makes sense considering the price.

Meaning you have not ordered one yet, or that you ordered one and are still waiting? I spent the $50 and it came reasonably quickly.

Hi,

I have just received my BPV4 with a free coupon and it was very fast less than 5 days !!
Thank you very much Ian and the DangerousPrototypes team do an amazing work !!

I just posted a photo from my solder of available component here (capacitor&resistor), I Have even soldered 3 resistors using 0805 resistor instead of 0603 ;-) (because I do not have all value in 0603 size)
Now i'm waiting other components from Mouser see the work in progress in attachement.
I will test to solder PIC24F using brazing paste and flux ;-)

Thanks for the update. Not all of them get there that fast :) I only do the PCBs every 10-15 days, I guess it depends on when you order ;)
