Improved Bus Pirate case sticker

Hey, I was looking at the bus pirate reference cards and I found that most of the ones on the wiki were out of date or had wrong color codes.

So I made a new one with these features
  • Easy to read
  • Compatible with SeeedStudios' cable
  • Shows which modes all pins are active
  • Has high visibility of color codes
  • Includes pin numbers and signal names

Here's a sample image

The downlod contains a PDF for printing in high quality, and an XLS file ( you can modify it with this).  I used LibreOffice to make this, so Microsoft Office will look different.
The proper printing size of the PDF is: 42% for sticker which covers the back, 38% for paper with clear tape over the top

Please review for accuracy.  Use this as you wish, no copyrights, I made it for myself.  I'll make any changes required.  Let me know if there's anything I should add.

One small thing, aren't MOSI and CLK often called SDA and SCK on the I2C bus?  That might be confusing for the inexperienced.

Thanks... I'll make the appropriate adjustments later tonight.

I updated the first post with the SDA and SCK changes

I also modified spacing a bit.  The new size is 33% for printing on the PDF.

One minor thing: on I2C the clock is called 'SCL', IIRC 'SCK' is a SPI term. Also serial doesn't have a clock, because it is asynchronous.

BTW nice sticker! Nice use of the colours.

D'oh!  You're right, of course, Sjaak.  Sorry to lead you astray, adamoutler.  I do like this sticker a lot, it looks very nice.

I had never heard of clk on uart either. It was on the seeedstudios label.  Are you sure that its unused on the  Bus Pirate?

There is no synchronous mode in UART mode (hence the A :)). The 3 wire library takes care of this.

Removed CLK from UART and changed I2C SCK to SCL.  Anything else?

SPI's clock is usually caled "SCK" instead of "TCK".

Veeery nice work, I'll see if I can find any quality plastic sticker and print it on it, and stick it to the back of my BP. It'll provide short-circuit protection and at the same time I won't lose it.

Thanks!

In case you need the current pinout and don't have a sticker handy, we included a commando to display it. See http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/Bus ... age_report

BTW you should state somewhere on sticker it is for the seeed cable. Sparkfun also carries a probe which uses a different pinout.

I also updated the blog post about it.
