Puzzled - can't seem to change mode ?

I've just received a V3a Bus Pirate with a B5 version PIC which has flashed V3.5 (standard) firmware without problems, talks to Bray's Terminal OK and passes all self tests without issues.

What's puzzling me is that when I try to change the mode it stays in Hi-Z mode.

I didn't have the BP connected to anything whilst running the test so I was wondering whether this is by design ?

I've copied and pasted from Bray's:

Can't help thinking I'm having a 'Durrrr' moment :-) Any assistance greatly appreciated !

I knew it would be a 'Durrrr' moment..... I had Bray's set up so that CR = CR+LF so the BP was interpreting it as me hitting return twice.
