Bootloader update with a Pickit2 July 28, 2009, 05:38:12 pm Hi all, Just a quick note to let you know that indeed, the PGC and PGD lines are "crossed" on the Bus Pirate which makes it a bit more complex to use the Pickit2: if those two pins were the other way around, you could just plug a pickit2 into the Bus Pirate directly, but sadly that's not the case. A simple adapter which crosses the PGC and PGD lines solves the issue and programming works fine afterwards...ED Last Edit: January 01, 1970, 01:00:00 am by Guest
Re: Bootloader update with a Pickit2 Reply #1 – December 28, 2009, 12:55:35 pm I'm glad somebody else noticed this; this really threw me for a loop too. Microchip has a standard programmer pin ordering (MCLR/Vpp, Vdd, GND, PGD, PGC). This is used by the PICkit, ICD 2, etc.I hope Ian has a Really Good Reason for swapping the two lines, because it sure is a nuisance if you want to re-flash the firmware.Ian?
