Seeed is now listing Bus Pirate v3, with RED PCBs:

I'm sorry for the long delay. We had to wait for Hack a Day's second preorder to ship (early September), and then I did a second revision of BPv3 to get it just right.

Does the Bus Pirate currently listed for preorder at Seeed have the new v4.1 firmware or the new bootloader?

If you have any flashrom problems, please mail flashrom@flashrom.org and include "Bus Pirate" in the subject line. As an alternative, you can send me a private message.
It is recommended to use at least flashrom 0.9.2 or later, and latest flashrom from svn if you want a 3x speedup.

@biosflasher - It has the v2 bootloader. We're going to test v4 for a while before putting it into production, that way we catch any errors (hopefully none) before unleashing it on everyone :)
