This morning the IR Toy wouldn't turn on, this time I tried to flash it with the PICkit2 and it couldn't detect the device.
I tried powering the IR Toy from USB and the PICkit2 detected target as self-powered, but couldn't read or write (unable to load hex in PICkit2 utility).
So the only solution, as the last time, was to short the PGC/PGD pins and flash the IR Toy. The first time I tried I got an error (see first screenshot below), I rebooted again in case I forgot, and the flashing went ok.
I can't think of a reason for the IR Toy's behavior, it has been working fine for some time now, and suddenly it did it again.
Thanks for the report. What firmware version were you running?
The version was 1.05, and the .hex file was last modified on July 28 (probably date of download).
Is version 1.05a the same?
Yup, 1.05 just didn't have the .inf so I packaged another release.
Happened again, moving to v08 when I find it.
