after many orders without problems on DP I have a shipment stuck on "Shipment information received" from November 26th (I chosen DHL Hong Kong (2-5 days)).
I tried contact DHL and they said "by a monitoring on the shipping the online data show only the electronic creation of waybill but the parcel was not taken. We suggest that you contact the vendor for information."
I tried to open a ticket on the order page, no answer, I tried to send an email to help dirtypcbs, same result.
What should I do now? should I repeat the order again to get it as soon as possibile or it would stop again? this is the final draft of a project before production, there are people waiting for me and I do not know what to say because i have no idea on the shipment time at this point.
I have exactly the same thing. I was assuming it might be a little bit slow due to being close to Christmas/holidays and all, but it's been on this status for a week now.

Tracking information received. Shipment not yet picked up by DHL"
There is a shipment held up in customs, most of the packages mailed DHL Hong Kong on the 25th or 26th. It is likely partly due to holiday volume, but packages mailed after that are being delivered already.
DHL Hong Kong is exported to Hong Kong by our logistics company. It isn't received by DHL until it gets to the airport cargo terminal, and that is why it still has that status. We have been after the logistics company for more info on this shipment (and if this is going to be an ongoing issue) but they say it should be an isolated incident and the stuck packages will be released ASAP.
Yesterday I added a warning to the PCB order page to choose DHL China if it is available in your location as it doesn't have this extra border crossing. Our medium-term plan is to move to a free trade zone bonded warehouse and deal with DHL/FEDEX/UPS directly instead of through a logistics agent.
So, is using DHL China a better shipping option than DHL Hong Kong since it doesn't have to go thru two sets of customs (one in HK and another in the USA)?
@daleykd: That's what Ian said, if it's available in your location.
