Dear DP and crews,
Thanks for awesome service.
I like'd to request for "Super Dirty PCB" services. As a developer and hobbyist, what we need for initial phase is not a full blown PCB with silkscreen, mask, color and mass volume.
Yes, we need a barebone PCB without silkscreen, nos mask, no color and less volume.
Here is my option for initial commit, actually it is not new and I compiled sources from other sites. Welcome for correction and discussion.
-No solder mask and silk print
-No metalized vias and soldering pads , which means the top side and bottom side are not connected. (You can connect with a jumper easily)
-Single layer or dual layer options
-Trace width and trace spacing – 0.25 mm / 10 mils
-Soldering pads – 1.5 mm / 60 mils
-Drilling – 0.6 mm / 24 mils or 0.3 mm / 12 mil
- No E-test
It's your call Ian,
- Delivery and lead time
- Sizes
- Prices
and so on,...

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have a look 1688 and see if that is a thing here, I have never seen it before.
It is generally cheaper and easier to work with the existing mass production processes. Bare bones PCBs might be a specialty product here (eg not commonly used in consumer crap), and once you step out of that refined process stuff gets expensive fast.
Obviously if you're doing bespoke small batch in the US or EU then it makes a heck of a lot more sense to avoid all the extra messy and toxic steps. Here though, there is a pipeline and that's what is feasible. A new thing is figuring out how to splice, mix and recut those processes to make cool new stuff - but that also always costs more :)
As a side note, dirty fab called last night to say they want to become a medium size factory and do large production. Nobody's making any money at the low end. Just based on the general feeling of a cooling economy around here I would guess that we see everyone's low quantity prices go up in the next year.
Originally I guessed the currency devaluation and cool down would give us more takers of small jobs, but it seems to be the opposite. Factories are investing more in securing large stable jobs. I doubt we could start DirtyPCBs today, it persists because of the large volume we built and the relationship with the factory. All completely guesses and unrelated to your request :) It will be interesting to see what happens. After The Expressway launches I'm cashing out and moving to Chang Mai anyways ;)
Thanks for quick reply.
I don't mean to alter existing process :) and eco system.
How about skipping some steps, such as silkscreen, platting, metalizing. I don't think these steps are same single batch job in PCB fab.
For volume, I know that minimum quantity is 10 pcs and it is fine for most hardware developers. No need to cut down.
If china has it own Gongkai, I believed such similar service is really existed and will never be existent.
but as an outsider from china, we cannot figure out such services and you may ;)

We are definitely looking into it :)
