Title: Unable to install IR Toy on Windows 8.1 - Driver Error

I recently reformatted my pc (windows 8.1) now for some reason cant load the driver for the IR Toy, it appears in devices as "CDC Test" and when I choose the driver the error it gives is
[Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the vinctim of tampering]

I redownloaded the software from the dangerous website and still same error. Any ideas anyone?

completely forgot this is because the driver is not signed. *facepalm*

Hi badmojo.

How did you solve this problem.

i am trying to install .inf but windows 8.1 is giving me an error and dont install.

I tried the 2 .inf files i found on V22 package. 1 with the date of jan 19th, 2010 that was on the zipped file under inf-driver folder and the other was the inf file under inf-driver folder (not zipped).

Both give me an error saying the HASH is not present on the catalog and does not give me any option to install it anyway.

I tried in another computer with windos7, using same .inf file and it gives me a warning that the file is not signed but allow me to install it anyway.

Any advice?
