Title: Thermal PWM Fan calculation
Post by: asgard on June 02, 2015, 06:23:54 pm
Here is an Excel spreadsheet which I have used to design a PWM Fan temp sensor connected to an
Arduino ADC pin.  With this I can play around and get the right factor and base numbers for setting
the DAC output to the PWM fan (a 12V mini muffin fan).

I have the sensor approximating ambient temperature in the TFT, but since this is not a high-accuracy
requirement (just intended to keep the circuitry from melting off :) the approximation is sufficient.

The URL to the Epcos online calculator for getting the curve data is included as well as a typical circuit.
