hi,
today the BBv4 is arrived.
I installed D2xx driver and win 7 x64 recognize it (obviously 2 interface).
I attached to my target (a st20 CPU) but I can' recognize the IDCODE.
I use the FTDI delphi program:
USB to a JTAG TAP Interface using FT2232H
http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Softwar ... /MPSSE.htm (http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/SoftwareExamples/MPSSE.htm)
I have another FT2232h device
http://www.diygadget.com/tiao-usb-multi ... erial.html (http://www.diygadget.com/tiao-usb-multi-protocol-adapter-jtag-spi-i2c-serial.html)
and it can recognize the idcode.
I think that the HW is pretty similiar.
Do you have any idea why BB doesn't work?
have I to download some svf into CPLD?
regards
solved!
I have programmed the CPLD with jtagkey and now urjtag recognize the IDCODE.
unfortunately I can use this buffer logic with my software because it expects a pass-througth jtag.
I see that picotap can accomplish that. But I've not found svf for BBv4. Can you help me?
in normal mode, how the interface B is used? is pass-throught? use it the JP1 pins? if so, what is the pinout?
regards
Hey there, interface B is used for actually programming the CPLD on board. Interface A goes into the CPLD, logic does it's stuff and the connection is to the pins. You can actually try it out, change the interface and try to read the IDCODE, it should be the CPLD IDCODE.
I believe bitstreams for BBv4 are not available in the wild. You'll have to search the forum for one, or compile one yourself with XXilinx ISE Webpack.
