In case anyone missed it, the web platform is currently available for backorder ($40 assembled including worldwide shipping from Hong Kong). See: http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/web-pl ... p-582.html (http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/web-platform-assembled-p-582.html).
It went out quite a while ago, it should ship really really soon. I'll try to get an update this week.
Now back in stock at Seeedstudio -- 85 currently remain, but you bedtter be quick...
Thanks :) I just saw that this morning.
Only 56 of the final batch of web platforms remain at Seeedstudio... there's the quick and the dead :)
I'm really surprised, I thought they would hang around forever.
Was this a batch of 100 that's almost half gone, or was some other number manufactured this time around?
@rsdio I believe it was 100, because 15 were back ordered and there were 85 left when they returned to "in stock".
@Ian I'm not all that surprised - it's very cost effective and, dare I say it, superior to its commercial competition.
Yes, 100 were made this time. Looks like we'll need some more in a while too.
I suppose that eventually there will be a batch where a few stragglers hang around forever. Hopefully you make enough profit on one batch that it can cover the costs of the next batch, otherwise there would be a loss due to unsold inventory. On the other hand, if you can get 15 advance orders or whatever the magic number is, then you can fund each batch bootstrap-style.
Just 8 currently left in stock at Seeed Studio ... 92 sold in under 3 months!
I have a special surprise when those are gone :)
Just one left now ... the tension is building :)
... and then another 100 appeared in stock!
They kind of spoiled it for me, but nice to have hardware available immediately :)

The v1.1 update has a could extra pins, several are analog. Supply can be external or USB, and there's mounting holes. The reset button is smaller SMD.
Nothing has changed, so it works with the same firmware, but there's some extras that have been oft-requested.
