Title: Help with sniffing unknown port
Post by: xr2 on June 20, 2014, 04:31:38 pm
HI all.
I'm new to all of this and require help.
I'm trying to figure out how to connect to my car navigation system.
There is a port on the front side of the unit used for something and I'm trying to figure it out.
It's a 7-pin connector with voltages below:
Pin 1 - 1.96v
Pin 2 - 2.17v
Pin 3 - 3.16v
Pin 4 - G
Pin 5 - 2.13v
Pin 6 - 3.19v
Pin 7 - N/C

Nothing is written on the PCB.
I have to take apart the unit to trace each connection but I really don't want to go there.
What's the best way to start probing?
Thx
