Title: BB V2.5 - blank FTDI EEPROM?
Post by: gmarsh on April 11, 2014, 10:04:57 pm
I bought a BB V2.5 from Seeed a while ago, and I'm finally getting around to using the thing. I plugged it into my computer, and Windows 7 detects it as a dual USB UART. The green LED is faintly lit.

I fired up FT_Prog, and the EEPROM was full of 0xFF's. Changing the max USB current to 500mA and programming the device, the EEPROM is now populated with data, so it's not a dead EEPROM. I've got my suspicions that Seeed forgot to program my particular BB.

I can't find any FTDI configuration info in the Bus Blaster package. Can you post it? Thanks.
