Title: I seem to have really bricked it this time :-(
Post by: plalonde on January 24, 2014, 02:06:00 am
I seem to have done the job on my new sniffer.
After getting a slew of checksum errors on the FPGA update, and then jumpered PGC and PGD and gotten the PIC flash updated, my next FPGA update attempt has led to a PWR light on, but nothing else.  No response to the RESET button, no other LEDs, no presence on the USB bus.

Pointers?  I see enough programming headers on there to do something, I'm sure :-)

Thanks,
  Paul

Seems like the PIC firmware is broken. What do you see if you connect PGC and PGD then plug the USB? They bootloader is pretty versatile so it should be there. If you can see the bootloader, do a complete firmware upgrade: http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/Log ... _procedure (http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/Logic_Sniffer_upgrade_procedure)
