I got my sniffer about a month ago and used it successfully.
It is now giving 'Device not Found' errors in the packaged client. The same occurs for version 0.9.6 of the client.
The ACT LED flashes when the device is connected, and then becomes solid. According to http://http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/Logic_Sniffer_101#LED_indicators, this means that the FPGA is not loading, but I can flash the FPGA using the update client.
When I run the selftest option of ols-loader, however, all three self-tests fail. Additionally, the voltage regulators are getting extremely hot and the 2V5 pin is reading 0.7V.
Is there anything software/firmware related that I can do to try and fix this? Or am I going to have to get the board replaced?
It looks like your board is dying/already died. I've read some reports of users that succeeded in replacing the voltage regulators to revive their OBLS. Probably the best thing to do is to return it and ask for a replacement...
