Just got my new Logic Sniffer board, installed the latest drivers, but I'm getting 'USB Device not recognised' when I plug it in.
As I can't access the thing at all, I haven't been able to upgrade anything.
Checking the USB 'failed device' properties, Windows (7) reports a Vendor and Device ID of 0000
I'm thinking it's a dead one, but just in case, are there any checks/tests that it's worth running before I get in touch with the supplier?
Thanks for the report, sorry about the issue. You can short the PGC and PGD pins and try to connect as USB HID device in update mode. If that works, then load a fresh firmware. If you cant get into update mode it could be a dead board, please contact the supplier for a replacement and reference this thread.
Problem resolved - turned out to be the USB cable that was faulty.
With a working cable, the board installed, updated and is now busy grabbing SPI waveforms!
Many thanks to Drew at proto-pic.co.uk for the assistance in finding the problem - and the rapid response here.
