Hi to everyone,
Good day!
awhile ago, I tested the bus pirate v4 that we purchased using the instructtions in this link: http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/Bus ... _self-test (http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/Bus_Pirate_self-test_guide#Latest_self-test)
here are my test results:
~
Disconnect any devices
Connect (ADC to +3.3V)
Space to continue
Ctrl
AUX OK
MODE LED OK
PULLUP H OK
PULLUP L OK
VREG OK
EEPROM
SCL OK
SDA OK
WP OK
ACK OK
ADC and supply
Vusb(4.82) OK
5V(4.87) OK
5V0 VPU(4.82) OK
ADC(3.33) OK
3.3V(3.36) OK
3V3 VPU(4.83) FAIL
Bus high
MOSI OK
CLK OK
MISO OK
CS OK
Bus Hi-Z 0
MOSI OK
CLK OK
MISO OK
CS OK
Bus Hi-Z 1
MOSI OK
CLK OK
MISO OK
CS OK
MODE, VREG, and USB LEDs should be on!
Any key to exit
I am wondering why these results were displayed: 3V3 VPU(4.83) FAIL
did I miss something? or made mistakes?
I hope you could enlighten me with this matters.
Thank you very much.
For v4, you just have to connect ADC pin to 3.3V pin. You are looking at the test procedure for v3.5.
The answer is at your result paste actually, check out this section:
Disconnect any devices
Connect (ADC to +3.3V)
Space to continue
Try that out, it should solve that problem.

Thank you very much for your help.
I would like first to thanks to tayken, Thank you very much for your help.
I have the same issue and as read in other topic here I found explaining the issue and differences
with the self-test for V3 and V4 boards.
I suggest for the dummies like me, support of The dangerousprototypes to change in the "self-test" main page http://http://dangerousprototypes.com/docs/Self-test_guide,
so that it shows the difference between the V3 and V4 self-test's connections on the board.
Here is the results with the connected only "Connect (ADC to +3.3V)",
and wrong for V4 connection "Connect (Vpu to +5V) and (ADC to +3.3V)" .
