Recently purchased BusPirate from SparkFun.
Hardware is vers 3.6.
Initial firmware is V5.10 (R559)
BootLoader is V4.4
Downloaded firmware BusPirate.package.v6.1.zip
Jumpered PGD to PGC on ICSP of BP
Plugged BP into USB
Ran batch file BPv4-update-v6.1.bat
everything OK till message - Sending Hello to the Bootloader...ERROR

I have just received the same model of Bus Pirate v3.6, boot: 4.4, original firmware: 5.10
and since I need to try out the JTAG functionality I updated it to 6.0v using ds30 loader.
loading the 6.0 version no problem, but still no JTGA.
So I grabbed the 6.1 but when I load it in ds30 loader it says that part of the firmware will overwrite the bootloader.
Maybe that is what happened?
I've got the same problem!
Has anyone figured out why the firmware won't load using priate-loader.exe? (Using Windows 7 x64 here)
I really want to "get current" on my firmware! TIA for all help!
