Title: Deadbug FPGA
Post by: chicken on October 23, 2012, 08:17:25 pm
Holy smokes!

Before anyone complains again about soldering BGA, check out this crazy Japanese guy/gal:
http://www.chiaki.cc/Pyxis2010/index.htm (http://www.chiaki.cc/Pyxis2010/index.htm) (Google translate is your friend)

The project in itself is interesting enough (real-time Mandelbrot zoom with PSP display) but the build is just ridiculous in a positive sense.

O_O
This guy has some very steady hands, and a steady mind. I would have gone crazy over loosing count of which ball I should have soldered too after a while, shorting something, causing days of misery trying to find out what went wrong.

Edit: Welcome to the forum! :)
