I imagine adafruit has huge headliners for that week with "everyone" in town :)
Last year NYC Resistor had a Saturday night party after the Faire, I hope they do it again so we can shoot a segment there. I will definitely go for sure.

From NYC Resistor mailing lists. Writing to them now.
Hi Ian –
Thanks for reaching out to us – we’re excited that you’re interested in showcasing a RadioShack store. We’re thrilled to be back in the hobbyist market, so any opportunity to showcase is good with us!
Let me arrange permission with the store manager at 781 Broadway on your visit and get back to you. Do you know what day you’ll be visiting? It should be no problem, but we like to give the SM as much detail as possible.
Radio Shack got right back and is willing to help arrange a store tour. lol! I thought my email would disappear down a dark hole or meet an instant 'NO'.
