Well, I now have my very own Bus Blaster (Thanks Seeed), but I'm not getting anywhere near as far as I'd like on the software side. Basically, I'm simply trying to get urJTAG to talk to the Bus Blaster before I attempt anything more. I'm using the version of urJTAG that was in the "custom-urjtag-rev11.zip" file.
When I attempt to issue the command "cable jtagkey" , the error I'm getting is:
Couldn't connect to suitable USB device.

Unable to open TFDI device device not found
Sorry, I'd put the full error in, but the spam filter seems to think I'm posting a URL. urJTAG seems to think it can't find the device.
In order to get here, I've tried installing the FTDI drivers. I've also tried installing the libusb drivers, and if I run the "testlibusb-win" tool, I can see the two serial interfaces. However, I'm just not having much joy with urJTAG! The machine is running Win7 64bit.
Any suggestions before I lose my hair?
does the device enumerate properly - do you see the ftdi from your os (it looks like you are running winblows, not sure how to do equivalent of lsusb on winbloze)
I've found the problem I was having. It was between the chair and the keyboard...
I'd screwed up the driver installation for the ftd2xx drivers somewhere (perhaps trying to be too clever and do too many things at once). Reinstalling the FTDI drivers have fixed this issue! Now, I shall see what else I can break!
