avrdude: buspirate_readline(): #
avrdude: buspirate_readline(): Are you sure?
avrdude: buspirate_readline():
BusPirate is not responding. Attempting reset.

After that nothing happens and the COM port is hung by AVRDUDE, and I cant use terminal for talking to BP until I reconnect BP to USB.

Upgrade to the latest version of the buspirate.

There is an issue with the reset command, somewhere in version 5 we added a question asking the user to confirm if he really want to reset. AVRdude can't cope with that, so Ian  decided to remove the question in the latest firmware version.

Sjaak,
Can you hotlink me the download of latest firmware?
http://code.google.com/p/the-bus-pirate/downloads/list (http://code.google.com/p/the-bus-pirate/downloads/list) Here I can only see source code of v5.7 and firmware v5.10
I already have FW5.3 and BL4.4
