There aren't any mounting holes!
I happened to notice that there are no mounting holes on the bus pirate v3 and below. Is there any chance that there could be some added on v4 as I cannot do a cover for a board that has nothing to mount it onto. I think that as it is a board that people will be using

Yes, I'll put mounting holes on all my future projects.
Brilliant, just thought I'd mention it.
Sorry about putting it in the wrong section, I didn't realise that there were sections, I just clicked new post!
Regards,
Mowcius
No problem. I just started the development section and I'm trying to populate it so it doesn't look so dead :)
Is it also possible to design it so it fits into a (standard) housing? I do like the current small design and the housing seeed is selling (I think it should arrive soon i hope). However I hope it was available when i ordered it (i made an extra order for the housing).
Extra improvements:
- BP accompanied with prototyping space (sku PRT-08803 or PRT-09567 from sparkfun anyone??)
- COM-08357 (also sparkfun) in the powerlines for extra protection?
- a pcb that goes on top of the bp which hold conversion logic for CAN, LIN, LCD, and so on.
BTW Perhaps an wishlist for v4 should be in a new topic.. :P
Will be nice to cover the board, only to avoid short circuits if you are leaving the board over another board or inside any silver-box.
Seeed is selling nice little boxes that protects the BP against this: http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/plasti ... Path=61_68 (http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/plastic-case-for-small-project-bus-pirate-v3-compatible-p-581.html?cPath=61_68)
Currently sold out, but I have one and it fits reasonable well.
