I have been considering a port of the Apple Airplay emulator done by James Laird. One can read about this here:
http://www.hardmac.com/news/2011/04/14/ ... -shairport (http://www.hardmac.com/news/2011/04/14/share-airport-shairport)
The source code can be obtained from:
http://mafipulation.org/blagoblig/reversing (http://mafipulation.org/blagoblig/reversing)
Before I undertake this effort I would like to hear comments from those familiar with the Web platform as to if they see any obvious reason this would not work.
I understand this is a non trivial adaptation
Thanks
The web platform has no operating system and none of the libraries necessary to build the application. "Non trivial" seems somewhat of an understatement :)
Aside to what Trev said: if you're considering a port, you should take a look at https://github.com/albertz/shairport (https://github.com/albertz/shairport), which is the most active fork of Shairport. It is completely rewritten in C for better portability...
