I was looking at the xQFP breakout board footprints on Eagle and I was wondering if you would be able to solder up a TSOP chip to the 0.5mm board. The TSSOP-32 and -28 are common for parallel SRAM and flash memory.
I don't have any TSOP chips kicking around or any xQFP breakout boards, so if you do, that would be a cool thing to find out if they fit.
Kinda. It looks like only the first 9-10 pins will make contact in my test.
I was thinking more of this type of chip http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSea ... -4C-WHE-ND (http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=SST39SF010A-70-4C-WHE-ND) which is a 32-TSOP. page 23 of the datasheet
Hum, it looks like 12.3 mm, the breakout area is about 15mm, I think it might work.
