Title: MMA7455L 5volt tolerant?
Post by: calica on May 07, 2011, 11:10:27 pm
Is the MMA7455L 5V tolerant?

Or doesn't it matter.  I'm planning on using I2C.  If I use an external pullup to 3.3V, the MMA is happy and the AVR should be ok as well.

Am I missing anything?  Thanks!

Look at the data sheet.  The MMA7455L is NOT 5V tolerant.  I2C clock (SCL) and data (SDA) pullups to 3.3V should be ok though.
