Title: Linux commandline tools.
Post by: rew on April 18, 2011, 01:49:37 pm
Hi,

I'm a Linux user. I develop for different platforms. C-code for applications on Linux, VHDL for FPGAs, PHP for web stuff, C-for atmel AVR and now C for the webplatform PIC processor.

I don't want to learn a new development environment every time, so I don't want an IDE for every environement I want to program. I like commandline tools because I can script them. e.g. whenever I connect my FPGA, send it the config file....

So, does anybody know of any commandline compiler/download tools for the web platform?

Search for the MPLAB X beta, it's multi-platform and will include the commandline binaries,  make sure you get the C30 compiler also.
