Title: Security
Post by: simmer65 on March 08, 2011, 10:53:35 pm
I am just getting started with the Web Platform. I see in the QuickStart that you can update your web pages with "mpfsupload" page. Can this be accessed from anywhere or only from IPs on the same subnet? Is there any security to keep the public from updating your pages or do I have to recode this upload page?

Microchip's simple demos are just that. They're not designed for anything other than as an example of what can be done.

So, yes, you would need to, at the very least, add authentication to the page if you were exposing it to the Net at large.
