Buonasera a tutti ho acquistato interfaccia bus pirate v3 per leggere e modificare o scrivere il chip,1wired ds2430a potete darmi una mano ? È possibile con questa interfaccia riuscire a modificarlo copiare il contenuto o modificarlo? Grazie

Here is the example with DS2431. Think the procedure will be more or less the same. But of course you'll need to consult to DS2430A datasheet for differences in commands and such.

There is no positive on the chip. 1-wire uses the data line as a parasitic power supply. You need to have a resistor between +5V and data line, typically <2.2Kohm. Then only the data line and ground are connected to the chip.

In the picture you shared the square with two holes is the ground and the track with one hole is the data line. I'm attaching a picture to help you visualize things.

Perfetto domani mi consegnano il bus pirate e proverò subito.che programma posso usare per leggere il chip hyper terminal?

On Linux I use "screen". On Windows I use PuTTY.

Buonasera sto lavorando a quel progetto che avevo iniziato praticamente collego il chip ma.non capisco se lo legge o no. Mi dice macro adress e mi da dei numeri e però unknown device.quindi non riconosce il chip ma lo legge. Come faccio a copiare quello che c'è dentro e poi rielaborarlo per riscriverlo?

good evening everyone vokevo understand which syntax to write to read the memory and save or edit it.
I did some tests following the datasheet, but I only read the 8 bits of the macro 1 wired address

You should've read the wiki page I sent you. It has all the explanations. Particularly:

"Step 1. find the device address" for finding the device ID for future transmissions.
"Step 6. read back the values" for reading the content.

If you want to write these values to another IC, you can take a look at

"Step 2. write 8 bytes to the scratch pad"
"Step 3. verify the scratch pad and get the authorization code"
"Step 4. write the scratch pad to the EEPROM"

Il problema è che seguo i passaggi ma non riesco ad ottenere le modifiche vorrei capire come leggere la memoria posso inviarti delle foto di quello che mi spunta. Devo capire ogni bit a cosa equivale perché mi dà chip scaduto nella macchina quindi devo cambiare la data di scadenza

Buongiorno a tutti ,leggendo il datasheet vedo che ci sono dei tempi di scrittura e lettura ben precisi, sennò non puoi ne scrivere e leggere il chip.ma non riesco a capirlo e non so di preciso come mettere i msecondi tra una sintassi e laltra.potete aiutarmi a capire come devo impostare la sintassi per leggere e acrivete? Nel post del ds2431 non ci sono tempistiche se scrivo come c'è scritto la fino a che scrivo nello scrhachpad va bene ma appena lo copio nella memoria non me lo copia.grazie mille

I am not sure I have seen it in your screenshots, but you have to activate PULL-UPs in your Bus Pirate or use the pattern tayken told you (http://dangerousprototypes.com/forum/index.php?topic=10464.msg71047#msg71047).
