Title: Brick Bus Pirate V3.6
Post by: Tecnico on October 12, 2019, 01:51:50 am
Hello,

I have the BP v.3.6 that I have no communication with, because I have loaded the firmware v6.1 with bootloader v2.
I understand that I will have to charge everything through the PICKIT, right?
Tell me what correct version I have to put firmware and bootloader to my BP.

This is the PICKIT manual. Is he the one who would have to follow?

Thank you.

In the git repository there is a manufacturing resources folder. That has a complete bootloader plus firmware you can program. However, I don't believe any 3.6 had bootloader 2, that was 3 or 3.1. are you sure it's bricked?

Well I deduce that this brick, because when I access the terminal does not give me the bootloader version, even if I make the bridge in pins. Anyway, what are the files (bootloader and firmware) that you indicate to me and that correct version IAN.

If you could help me relive it, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Here's one that should work: https://github.com/DangerousPrototypes/Bus_Pirate/tree/master/manufacturing_resources/v3.6/firmware_dump

I have to follow these steps, right?

Connect 5 pins from pickit 2 to the pirate bus

Finally use these commands:

PD: Do I leave one more step?

Thank you.

If it's a Bus Pirate v3.6 then the chip is PIC24FJ64GA002. I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with pickit2 or how to use it from the command line.

Thank you very much, I was able to revive the pirate bus with Pickit 2
