Can you clarify, are you saying to forget the v23 that is in the first post?  Has the new firmware hit the shelves yet, or where is it?

USB Infrared Toy / Re: IRToy stops working after pc resumes from standby
I am having a similar problem, except with restarts.  When the computer restarts (which I can't avoid forever because of updates), IRToy will stop working ("WinLRC failed to initialize") and show an orange LED until I unplug it and plug it back in.  Does the new beta firmware 23 fix it?  I'm at a loss, this is a huge hindrance to functionality since it's integral to my automation system which is supposed to be hands-off.

I re-recorded the buttons, and now it works flawlessly.  Strange.  Could recording it in darkness make the difference?  Here's the working config to compare (only did a few buttons).  And as far as range goes, I got all the way to the back of my room (~25 feet) and it still worked, so it has some nice range :)  This thing is awesome!

Ah thanks, seems I didn't have WinLIRC running in the background last time I tried that.  I can verify with my camera that it's emitting IR when I send it now, but I can't get it to work with my projector no matter how I aim it.  It's an optoma projector with a very basic remote.  Seems like the IR flashes of the IRtoy are not nearly as bright as the remote when looked at through the camera.  Is that normal?  I'm using v.2 with firmware 22.

USB Infrared Toy / Help with sending WinLRC commands
Hello, I'm very new to all of this and know almost nothing, so I need some walking through at a very basic level.  I've gotten everything successfully set up and can send codes manually by clicking the button in WinLIRC and it works great.  However, the instructions on scripting commands totally losses me.  Can someone give me an example of text I could put in a .bat file in windows that would execute pressing the "Power" button?

edit: I downloaded Hercules, and under the Serial tab chose my COM and can successfully "open".  Now I'm stuck, trying to send the various commands like SEND_ONCE or VERSION but not seeing anything happen.
