Bus Pirate Support / Beginner help - attach RFID loader
hey all

I try to attach a RFID reader to the buspirate. As I'm a noob I need some help.

I updated the Bus Pirate to bootloader v4.1, fw also v4.1. Selftest works fine (after resoldering some led's).

I bought the RFID reader from seeedstudio (http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/1356mh ... l?cPath=40). The RFID reader contains those pins:
PIN 1 ---- RESET
PIN 2 ---- RXD
PIN 3 ---- TXD
PIN 4 ---- GND
PIN 5 ---- +5V (DC)

I wired the buspirate like that:

PIN 1 ---- RESET    ---> AUX
PIN 2 ---- RXD        ---> MOSI (TX)
PIN 3 ---- TXD        ---> MISO (RX)
PIN 4 ---- GND        ---> GND
PIN 5 ---- +5V (DC)  --->+5V

I activate the UART Mode, then I enter
W to active the +5V
a to trigger the reset (AUX LOW)

thats it, I dont receieve anything from the device.. any hints about this setup?

Bus Pirate Support / Bus Pirate - use regular UART (+12V / -12V)
hey all, I just ordered my bus pirate. I want to use Bus Pirate with a regular serial device (+12v / -12v - no ttl). The device is a Philips tv with a service connection. Will this work:

[Philips TV]---[Serial to USB adaptor]---[Buspirate]

I want to use the Bus Pirate analyzer to analyze a "fancy" binary mode of the tv.
