I tried to follow the instructions on the tutorial. but instead of continuing to write i get an error 03 - and said that the device was not responding.
what could have gone wrong? i just copied the wirings for the CPLD board im using the xilinx 9572XL in PLCC package. Is there any special considerations?
btw i got to the part where it says
Sending 4096 bytes (1000)....ok
do i need a crystal to program the CPLD?
what does the XL in 9572XL stand for i saw a chip with just 9572 what could be the difference?
I need to interface an MMC/SD card to a computer similar to what an SD card reader does where i could view the SD card as a Mass Storage Device. Any advice on how i could implement this in an MCU?
i would like to ask if you guys know a place where i could get some really cheap servos or a place where i could get acrylic sheets and the cutters for them..
also if you know where i could get stuff where i could scavenge parts..Leds..motors ect..
is there a low cost way that I could program a PAL 16L8 and a CPLD? what is the programming method? JTAG?most of the stuff i see in the web is either expensive or uses a parallel port. COuld you please suggest on the best approach that I should use?tools for doing this? i have my eye on winCUPL from atmel..any suggestions? -I have seen lots of CPLD projects on the forum but dunno where to start.
btw about the logic sniffer..is it capable of getting data from a parallel ADC and dump them in an array that I could manipulate in VB or python? i have a project that involves an old ADC..parallel 16bit SAR from 1996..got a bunch of them and im trying to build a demo platform to teach students how to get SNR using an ADC and FFT.. hope you guys could help..
Hi all, I tried to update my bus pirate's firmware from 2.4 to 4.1 and it was successful but when i tried to update to 5.10 something went wrong and my bus pirate is no longer responding.. can anyone suggest the nest thing i copuld get my bus pirate running again and upgrade the firmware to 5.10.
I already used my bus pirate to communicate through UART,SPI and I2C but there things that I want to learn and Im finding it hard to find the references for these topics:
BusPirate as an AVR programmer -- tutorial? BusPirate Binary programming i would like to automate reading from i2c
lots of you guys uses linux are there topics that could guide me in doing stuff in windows im usng winxp and 7
i have though of this early this morning, i dont really know if its feasible or even useful.
The idea is that i would like to use a SIM card (from a cellphone) as a memory element on my projects, if the simcard has 32k of space, it would be enough to hold previous data, and the sorts, also it could be used as a storage for settings.
Can anyone comment on this? Is there any circuit, project or library for interfacing sim cards into an MCu?
