General discussion / Off to Shenzhen, where do folk hang out?
Hi

Next month I should be heading out to Shenzhen from the UK. I am travelling for about 6 weeks but want to spend a few days in Shenzhen. Are there are few places where geek folk hang out? Be good to say hello to a few people. I hope to have a good look around the place and see the markets.

With regard to reliability it is a good point that you can not actually really tell how long the company will be around for. But if they have designed it well then I would hope it is made from common building blocks. It would be nice to know if there is anything 'special' to the machine. 

I think for the money it needs to have some build quality. When you get your machine will you be doing a whole series of videos about it?

Is there any news on what happened if a part breaks on these machines? I am really interested in them but if something goes wrong is there any way of getting spares for it? I think it is a really important aspect of buying one of these machines.

Hi.

Not sure if this has been talked about already. I used EasyPC for cad work. It has built in 3D generation but it is not on the same level as what I see here. How do you create the 3D images? Does it all start with Eagle? I was wondering if there is a way for me to generate some from EasyPC.

Really like the work you did on the Contiki port. How much work do you think it is to get Contiki working on the PIC24F156DA206? This has more IO and memory available. Lots of it!
