CPLD programmable logic / Re: xsvf player issues in Win7 x64
Isn -

Just popped back on to see if there was a reply, and you got me thinking. I copied a lot of data over from my old laptop and none of the exe's run (apps that run from the exe itself) and a lot of files arent supported in their respective apps.

Your reply just made me realise, the xsvf's are likely corrupt too.

Will check back and report, many thanks for your reply.

CPLD programmable logic / xsvf player issues in Win7 x64
Hi all,

Recently upgraded my laptop to  HP Probook 6560b (Win7 x64)

Now my buspirate / xsvf player doesnt work :( It plays the first 4096 bytes, reports success and error free but obviously it's not fully programmed the CPLD logic board.

Is there a known issue regarding x64, as it still works on my old x86 install on my old laptop. I don't have a log to hand, but will reply/edit later with one once I hook it up. Obviously the BP is detected fine/on said comport for it to play the first part, but don't know where to start with it for diagnosing issues.

Any input greatly appreciated.

Regards

**EDIT**

Here is the log,

Bus Pirate Support / XSVF_ERROR_MAXRETRIES | Insight ?
While probably not the most intuitive title, I figured it might get anyone who has seen the error to look in and advise.

I just tried programming a CPLD (XC2C64A) with my BusPirate and PigTail wire.

It's correctly hooked up, I've triple checked.

I get this error, I'm not sure if I have previously programmed this board, it was attached to my Bus Pirate when I started this project.

Obviously, not knowing just what the error means (google doesnt throw up much) I don't know if it is in fact an issue with my BP (probably not) but I figured someone may be able to help.

CPLD programmable logic / CoolRunner-II (xc2c64a) XSVF / BusPirate Issues.
Hi all,

Just got my Bus Pirate today.

It's a sparkfun one but it seems to have com with 4.x bootloader as ds30 loader connected fine but PIC24F wouldn't.

With this in mind, I flashed bpv3-xsvf-vb to it, removed the jumper and cycled the usb power to the device.

I then created my .xsvf in Xilinx Lab-Tools.

I wired up my BusPirate to the CoolRunner-II using this install which I believe to be correct ?

I then use the command;

bpxsvfplayer -p com14 -f filepath.xsvf

To which I get the following output.

Can anyone see any glaringly obvious mistakes ? Something I as a noob have overlooked? Or misunderstood?

If not, does anyone have any suggestions?

Running WinXP SP2 (x86) if it matters, USB2Serial drivers are installed.

Many thanks for looking
