Yes that's the jist of this thread if you haven't noticed. What a bummer about the connector if there isn't anything available by now there probably wont be. :/ I think the people who bought the v4 should get a discount on buying v3. :D

Yes I bought 2 cables from seeedstudio and then modified it with female pins connector side. I thought buying the new one was the best thing to do even though we were warned. Lol is there a definitive answer on seeedstudio carrying a cable?

CPLD programmable logic / Xmas newbie Cool Runner II + Pickit2
I got this for my self for Xmas and I've already ordered Bus Pirate V4 so it will be here in a few weeks. My question is can I use Pickit2 with MPLAB to program the CPLD Coolrunner II device? If so can some one point me to a quick tutorial? Thanks and happy holidays!

No your right, I haven't used the Pickit2 in almost a year, I had to install MPLAB and everything just to do the update. My problem was just getting it all up and running and then discovering that you can't program with the hex file inside a "workspace" you have to close it out then there is no problem. Probably seems like second nature to some one who uses it extensively but that was really the only problem.

Ok I'm totally lost I had 0.9.0 running some how on my machine I updated to 0.9.2 but when ever I ran from the .bat file it would run both versions! In frustration after trying to edit the .bat and move files around I scorched earth deleted it all. Now I can't seem to locate the "installer" for the client. It is great and I was having fun, I do apologize for my n00bishness in advance. Can some one provide me with the info for downloading an entire working version of the latest client? Thanks! :D Never mind I figured it out. Wish I could delete this post! :/ Sorry!

Ok I'm connected with Pickit 2 via MPLAB and it sees the PIC

I was able to program it with the hex file after closing out the workspace and  importing the hex file but now I can't get it into the update mode. When I press the buttons it only lights the TRIG led and there is no serial comm on the usb either. Device manager doesn't show a COM6 or what ever. Did i need to specify a start address for the hex file or was it automatically done? I wonder if that is the problem?

Wow I thought I did something wrong my self, I think it's the Christmas holidays and everyone's off playing with the toys that have accumulated on their desks! LOL I'm paying the price for being an early adopter, I too have the 20mhz crystal and tried to update my firmware only to find afterward that I get the...

I'm a little concerned about the mismatch warning, should I be?
