Open 7400 Competition / [ENTRY]TimeBonder 275 "The Ignitor"
It began as a charming automatic toilet lid shutter:
TimeBonder is a really versatile design fully made in 74HCxx logic and looks like a requisite from a good old 007 movie. Later I promoted it as a timer for the darkroom but I found more applications every day. It contains 25 Logic devices and uses every single gate of them for a sense giving function. The clock signal is extracted from the line frequency and can be selected between 50Hz and 60Hz. As a timer, TimeBonder provides a range from 100ms up to 999s with a resolution of 100ms up to 99.9s and 1s for the rest of the scale. Time is set numerically via the keypad consisting of 15 keys. Display brightness can be choosen and two output channels can be mixed or used independent and the possible combinations can be fed back as an option for a special need of the display illumination in darkroom operation.
