Thanks Ian Had read that previously and if i try the example shown for a serial trigger on "R" it just does not capture any data ,i wonder if you could try it and see if it works for you.
I recently got a bus pirate and a ols and have been playing with them to get some experience in how to use them. I am really happy so far, they are good tools at a great price with what appears to be very active development,Well done to all.
I am having some issues with the ols and serial triggers, i set the bus pirate up as a uart 8N1 19200 baud, and send "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 ".There is no problem capturing the data if only the first bit is masked and the uart analyzer works fine. If i then try and set it to trigger on say "3 " ie with a 10 bit trigger it will no longer capture any data,Now as i am a newbie this could well be user error i have searched for an answer but there is not a lot of info on the use of serial triggers.
I was wondering if any one had used the serial trigger with any success and if so could give me a short example.
