Project logs / Re: Really universal soldering controller
I am still contemplating if it's worth building it or shall I get JBC Nase set for slightly over 2k $. As I need the tweezers.
I have bought the components already - pcb, iron and tweezers are left. They go for over 700$ with popular 3 tips. I even found the hanging JBC Holder for sale to hang irons and tweezers. I'll get probably another 5 for approx 300$. Total build will cost over 1400$ without case. But I have bunch of leftover hot air stations, to start with.
The whole JBC Nase set has 8 tips https://mektronics.com.au/products/jbc-2-tools-nano-rework-station-nase-2c. It's about 20-30% more expensive than building unisolder. Maybe I should just get it, if irons performs well I don't need to use other irons, just need tips.
PS: I'm in Aus, so $ are AUD
