I am well aware of this, I bought one. Do you make them with stencil or hand soldering?
And one advice - the fuse holder is made of too thin theet metal. I replaced it with one made from 0.25mm. And you may consider selling them with 6.3A fuse.
Yes, I manually placed the components and then reflowed them in the oven. Thank you for your suggestion
lovediy on Tindie is selling it for $99 assembled. Since I cannot sell it for less (I cannot even buy the parts for $99) - this is OK for me, given the fact that I bought one and it does not have any problems so far.
In fact, I had a really BIG temptation to make it on 4 layer PCB instead of 2 layer. Most of the noise would be gone for good. But this would seriously affect the project's manufacturing costs. For example, in my country there is no available facility for 4 layer boards that can manufacture even 1000 boards at good enough price.
Sparkybg thank you for your support and understanding. The price of my circuit board is 99 dollars. Tindie draws about $10. The average shipping cost is about $15. The actual price is only around $75. They are all handmade. The manufacturing test takes about 3 hours, and my work cost is very low! Haha, look forward to more cooperation with you
New version uploaded, added holder sensor filtering (although IMHO this must be implemented in the very sensor, as is done in the MCU of the original IR optical sensor).
And some updates on what's shown on the display: - ACF = AC, full power - ACH = AC, 1/2 power (you can see this on JBC Microtweezers on 24V) - ACQ = AC, 1/4 power (You can see this on smaller irons like JBC C210, C105, C115 on 24V)
DCF, DCH, DCQ - same for DC power.
And again - PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU ARE USING DC POWER OR LOWER VOLTAGE THAN 24V. This is tested ONLY with 24V 6A toroidal transformer as power source, which I strongly recommend as the best power source for this project.
I don't know when I will be able to test it wit DC source.
sparkybg thank you very much for your update. The new firmware will make the unisolder take off again. I want to know whether the support for 1106 screen will be updated in the future? Have you considered solving the temperature difference between different models of handles?
