Project logs / Re: Really universal soldering controller
I want to clear the upper post - if you use an AC-DC supply - you should have 24V-as Vpp
                                                 - if you use a Trf - you should have variable Vpp. a time depending

Project logs / Re: Really universal soldering controller
Both oscillograms have something wrong (Voit1- should be firmly 0V ( the same as at the source of Q10) and for Vout1+, Vpp should be close to 24V ( check at the source of Q2 for it. and if it keeps )
@Woutero99 that is not quite right "Vpp should be close to 24V" - it depends on the time delay of the pulse from zero-cross of +24V, non-filtered, rectified voltage and you can get its value with an oscilloscope - sorry for the misleading - I cannot confirm for upper driver and MOSFET that are not working.

@lz2bvb  I had a look at the second picture uploaded from vulkan35 and I noticed a difference in powering for the two Channels marked in yellow - I cannot say something wrong about it, but the way it is done speaks for using not quality connectors (2-3A load) and the cables let the different noise to come into inputs - maybe that is the reason for the difference b/n the channels. You can change to a 4A-5A load per pin, a 4p, single row, round connector ( check the pitch and height).

In my opinion a little better Config. R
1. for 1.4V - R5-28K and R2*-91k without Rcomp
2. for 1.3V - R5-56K and R2*-91k without Rcomp
3. for 1.2V - R5-42K and R2*-82k Rcomp 1M Ohm (b/n gate and GND) for Q1*
2. for 1.1V - R5-56K and R2*-91k Rcomp 1M Ohm (b/n gate and GND) for Q1*
choose 1.2V for your starting point

ps: there are other iterations also depending on your taste

Hello!
So @minkok , I did what you have said, left the 2,2 µF capacitors in place and tested only on "Sleep side" R5-20K and R2*-110k and yes I get satisfactory response arround 0.3 seconds wich is good!Who is not satisfied with the response can try an 82K or even 47K as you have said but I have not tested and cannot know how stable it will be.Right now it is stable, not reacting on hand touching the plates,no "doomedahab" effect on boot!(@doomedahab I hope you don't mind that I called the effect with your knickname  :D )
For me at least it is OK!
L.E. R1,R4 left 10M
@Ne_0  I can confirm you have propper alignment for Vgs th - 1.5V, without correction R, that's ok and I can add other configs:
1. for 1.4V - R5-60K and R2*-80k Rcomp 1M Ohm (b/n gate and 3.3V) for Q1*
2. for 1.1V - R5-56K and R2*-91k Rcomp 1M Ohm (b/n gate and GND) for Q1*
much easy to keep the desired R2*  :-)

Finally some response from seller. Unfortunately not through normal PM but still better than nothing.  At least some information is provided now. Next step is to find out why unisolder station is so far away off calibration and doesn't accept calibration. Anything specific to that?  Maybe than second problem with automatic protection will disappear.

''make your own version of the boards for the 88 x 38 case, we'll see what happens garbage or not.
respect the work of others!!!''
I paid for working unisolder, not to create my own versions. Normally support should be given through seller, not somebody else, correct?
In my opinion, that is the right way.
I think you may have a wrong way of alignment (you should do it only by Trim RC2 - hardware way), as I know your board should work fine on 1st channel and have around up to 20 centigrade difference for the second Ch. in dual Channel for the tweezers.
Please, read that 30 pages to know what you bought and search for earlier postings on how to align your first Ch.

These are the signals i get on heater 1 and Vout1+/-
These repeat every about 5 seconds.
(this is done with a cheap usb scope)
Both oscillograms have something wrong (Voit1- should be firmly 0V ( the same as at the source of Q10) and for Vout1+, Vpp should be close to 24V ( check at the source of Q2 for it. and if it keeps )
1. At "HEATER1" you should have the same what you have on J4/6p "ONOFF" and the same pulse width as on Vout1+, correct?
2. What MOSFETs do you use for Q2 and Q10 - recommended from sparkybg? ( (as I remember you have the correct ID - C245 haven't you?
3. check the soldering of U2, Q2, and Q10
4. Check "HSEL" on U2A/2p ( around 0V) and U2A/7p( around 12V ) - ( important - make the measurement connections on Switched Off Unisolder, Switched-On Oscilloscope - and then On) - they should be clean, without noise and they shouldn't change the time of the Pulse.
Some werd other stuff sometimes if i probe with multimeter or oscilloscope on some points the Iron starts heating at low power sometimes 1% sometimes bit more.
they should be in the Gates chains of MOSFETs if not note them.

I don't want to say that the value of resistors is perfect - depends on the sort of MOSFETs you use and their specs. Use the compensated Sch. and you can align propper every Tr.
If you need clarification or help, just contact me.

Thank you for your efforts @Ne_0 . The config. you use is also poor balanced,  simple config. 10k x 40k resistors is much better ( it doesn't matter if the other works fine for you ), it has a better working point for Q1* ( not perfect - the time you make lab testing and will be different for different Transistors). Use the compensated one for better filtering and slower response.

Update for @Morpheus1979 config. - if the output is noisy or it is hard to "clamps", you can use compensated Sch. ( you understand, that in the input we do know what to expect as a noise - different for everyone)
It is worth trying again faster switching for Q1 ( from 10M to 1M, or 5M Ohm for R1 - but be aware of your Earth connection - when it is through a resistor - Don't use capacitors there )

. So product sold by vulkan35 is completely useless and without firmware and diagrams practically unrepairable(made in china).

As I know, he uses boards compliant with this project, Sch and firmware should be from sparkybg, and the board maybe is from some other else, just read the last 30 pages (around- not sure).  This means things are not so bad. I can understand why you are disappointed, I would be also. If that could relax you.
