Many thanks to joefitz for this fix for a stuck TDO. I had exactly the same symptoms as everyone else: self-test passed but TDO stuck. You're a life saver with this. Shame the DP staff don't seem to support their products much.

I bought a Bus Blaster v3c last year but have only just got round to playing with it, so before I plug it into my Altera Cyclone V dev board and do any damage there are a couple of things I'd like to check. I've scoured the forums & website & YouTube vids but am still unsure.
(1) The Altera dev board obviously has it's own supply, so do I need to have JP4 linked? If not, should I connect the targets VCC/GND to the JTAG header?
(2) What does the push bitton do?
(3) Is the V_TARGET signal to P18 of the CPLD a target detect?
(4) The ft2232 interface was deprecated in openocd 0.9. Now that v0.10 is released it has been removed entirely and the recommendation is to use ftdi. Are there any plans to update your OpenOCD documentation as it simply doesn't work now.
