I'm no expert, but it seems like there's something not lining up between your SVF file and the hardware. As I understand things, the SVF is just a list of JTAG commands and their expected results. UrJTAG is telling you that it got a different result from the hardware vs what the SVF says.
So, perhaps it's worth starting with some more basic debugging - maybe try toggling IO pins on the Spartan over JTAG or something along those lines. If that works, then have a look at the process that creates your SVF file. -Ian-
I'm in the market for a general purpose JTAG tool. Immediate use is for Analog Devices ADSP-BF525, but will likely end up using it on a variety of ARM parts and maybe AVR32. No immediate need for the SWV support, but it might be nice down the road.
On SEEED's site, there is a note "most users will be better off with Bus Blaster v3". Is there a downside to buying the v4 other than the additional $10 price? Thanks! -Ian-
I just happen to have this one on my desk - from a 2-sided protopack. It's quite round, except the one teeny nub on the edge (right side in photo) from where it was snapped off. Would be nice and smooth after a pass with a flat file: [attachment=0] -Ian-
